- Oct 2017: Production has Ceased
- Production of the SWS-200 solar water still has now ceased, as owner Eric Torbet has moved on to other projects. He may revisit the still in the future to make certain improvements to the design. Thank-you for your interest in this product!
- Oct 2015: Purchase Options
- Do-Right Solar now offers the option to purchase the SWS-200 solar water still in installment payments rather than in one lump sum. Additionally, we offer an option to rent the still on a "try-out" basis. Please see the SWS-200 product page for more details.
- Oct 2015: Post-Filter Added
- The SWS-200 now incorporates a granulated activated carbon (GAC) post-filter to provide instantaneous carbon filtration. This filter employs GAC made from coconut husk, and serves to remove organic volatiles present in the distilled water. The filter housing is a black silicone tube, and is permanent (not disposable). Only the GAC itself requires periodic replacement, this being much more economical and better for the environment than a typical plastic-housing filter. We still offer binchÅtan sticks to optionally provide further carbon post-filtration.
- June 2015: Quest for Water
- Do-Right Solar displayed the SWS-200 solar water still on June 13, 2015 at A Quest for Water, an educational event organized by the Youth Drought Project. During this event there was a screening of the insightful documentary Eyes On the Sky, and its director/narrator Steve Nicolaides and his wife (shown here in the photo along with some local students) were on hand for the occasion.

In case you missed it, there will be another garden tour and still demonstration on June 6. Please see Sweetwater's website for more details.
